ADULT HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION 7

PARNELLS 5-15

CRUMLIN 1-05

On a scorching afternoon in Pearse Park Crumlin the Parnells Junior 2 side were dominant over their Crumlin opponents. Parnells contolled the middle third of the pitch with Anto Kinsella and Aaron Hurley outstanding in centre field, Hurley notching a classy solo effort after 12 mins. Crumlin attacks were few and far between and they were meet with stiff resistence from the well marshalled Parnells rear-guard with Reilly, O'Connor, Lawlor and Murphy all to the fore. Crucial goals came in quick succession for the Nells with Philly Dunne grabbing the 1st, Paul Rigney poaching the second and a Robbie Kelly stunner the third. Jonathon Maloney then clipped over an exquisite sideline cut to end the half.

The second half was all about one man the two goal hero Anto White who showed the predatory instinct needed around the square to calmly slot 2 goals. Dave Flanagan added some physicallity to the Nells side and he created some fine scoring opportunities for his colleagues. All in all an excellent team performance from all those who togged out. The team are set up well to compete for the league and championship during the summer!!!!!
