Parnells GAA Club celebrated the GAA's Lá na gClub 2010 in some style in Chanel this afternoon. The Club took the decision to organise a Family Fun Day to cater for young and old alike. Spoiled with warm sun on their backs those in attendance witnessed some gripping sprint races, skilful target drills, competitive tugs-o-war and record breaking distances in the Poc and Kick Fada. The bouncy castles and face painting were a huge attraction with the queues of children never ceasing. The DJ made the day all the more enjoyable with some rocking tunes to keep the families in good spirits. The catering truck and ice cream van helped to refresh those tired and hungry in the crowd. Inter county stars Stephen Cluxton and Colm Begley were seen practicing some skills on the day, and Marty Morrissey of RTE arrived to witness all the fun. Special thanks goes to all those who volunteered to help make the day a huge success. The biggest thanks goes to all those who attended and participated in the day and made it the Fun day we'd hoped. The plans for next year have already begun....
