On Sunday morning the Junior 1 side made the short trip to play Craobh Chiarain in the Junior Football Championship. Playing with the wind at their backs in the opening half Parnells raced into a 0-10 to 0-03 lead by the break. Ian Brady and Stephen Duffy impressed throughout and although Chiarains got a goal early in the second half Parnells showed the composure to see the game out. Parnells 0-15 to Craobh Chairain 1-08.
